I must say. Venezia is pretty good damn gorgeous. All the hype is true! I figured it would be crowded, noicy and in general pretty annoyingly full og tourists. It wasn't. Just go two or three streets to the right of th main streets from the train station to Piazza San Marco and you will find youself along adorable small channels, in small streets decorated with cute cats, people's laundry and the odd local italian. I simply love this city. We went there a while ago and I might start the presentation by showing the main thing. The place all tourists inevitably visits.
Piazza San Marco with the infamous crowd of tourists. Tourism would be much better if it wasn't for all the other tourists.

A different view of the piazza. This one shows the other side of the square and in the background is the church after which the piazza is named.

As for a different thing that all tourists see here is the biggest channel Canale Maggiore. In the front is one of the watertaxis and on the sides you can see the famous gondols.

Oh, and this is me with Canale Maggiore as a backdrop.

As for the gondols there sometimes actually are traffic jams of gondols. Who would have thought?

Earlier in the day the channels are more quiet. I guess tourists don't go for their gondolrides this early.

This is what I mean with charmin small channels filled with peace and quiet.

And this is what I'm talking about when talking about charmin little streets with the odd local inhabitant. I could live here.

The famous carnival of Venezia is in february and you can be sure that I will return to this beatiful city for this event. Susana is a big fan of the traditional dresses worn at the carnival. I guess you can tell by her smile.

And finally I may present to you the travelling erasmus students. From left to right:
